A: If you are delighted with your website or blog and do not cancel the service (which is very easy to do) you will be charged $4.95/mo, with no long-term commitment. Cancel at any time.

A: There is no setup charge, and nothing beyond the $4.95/month. The only exceptions are: If you leave us and we purchased a website address on your behalf, there is a $35 transfer fee to move your website address to a new registrar. There are two possible incremental monthly charges:

  • $3/month if you would like your own WWW website address. This is entirely optional, and we pay for the address.
  • $5/month if you would like up to 100 personalized email accounts for yourself and employees/family/friends. There are no cancellation fees or other charges.
A: Yes, you can cancel at any time. When you sign up with Talkspot you will be on a month-to-month billing cycle, so you aren't locked into a contract, you can cancel at any time and there are no cancellation fees or penalties.
A: Yes, you can bring your own domain to us (if you already have one) or we will provide you with a utility to search for a website address. Your own WWW address can be assigned to your site in minutes. This would require an upgrade to the Plus-package of only $7.95/mo, which is an amazing bargain because the website address is free to you, we purchase it and take care of the annual renewal fees.
A: Yes, for example: If your website address is johndoe.com, and you are Joe -- you can be joe@johndoe.com. If you want this optional service, which comes with up to 100 email accounts for each of your friends, family, crew or employees, it would require an upgrade to our Pro-package of only $12.95/mo and you get your own WWW website address included in that package.
A: Absolutely! And, we don't know this for sure, but we strongly suspect that some of our better known competitors found their own systems too gutless to be used for creating their own websites. We wouldn't cheat like that.
A: Yes, all of our templates are fully customizable and can be used for any type of website. In this case you would simply remove the blog widget from your page and add the content and widgets you need. You could even move the blog widget to a new page and start blogging about your restaurant, add articles with any monthly specials, upcoming events, new menu items, etc. Anything you think your customers might be interested in.
A: Yes, if you currently control a domain you have purchased, you can bring it over and we can link it to your Talkspot website.
A: Yes, all of our widgets can be saved, moved and duplicated. There might be certain widgets that you want on every page of your site such as your logo or your social media accounts. In this case you would only need to configure the widget once and then you can duplicate it and use it on every page. You can also save widgets to your favorites for use later.
A: Yes, you can add an Open Table widget so your customers can make reservations directly from your website. We provide step by step instructions to make this process as seamless as possible.
A: Yes, you can collect payments quickly and securely with Talkspot's Payment Widget. Collecting payments for a single product, service, donation or subscription is easy with the Talkspot Payment Widget. This is an excellent alternative to the more complex store with multiple offerings.
A: Yes, our Social Media Widget makes it easy for users to link their site to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, Google+, Email and LinkedIn.
A: Yes, if you sign up for the Pro-package of only $12.95/mo it comes with 100 domain hosted email accounts included.
A: Our site editor is simple yet effective. Like anything there is a slight learning curve while you're getting started, but you will quickly become comfortable. Our editor has a menu of Widgets (that do an array of different things), and your webpage is compromised of drop zones. You simply choose which widget you want, place it in the drop zone and configure the widget. From there you can copy or move the widget to anywhere on the page or to another page. You can also duplicate widgets that you want to use on multiple pages with the same content. For example; if you want your contact information in the footer on all pages, you would only need to configure it once and then duplicate it to each page.
A: There is no experience or coding required, we've done most of the work for you. You will be designing the layout of the page by dropping widgets into drop zones and configuring them, choosing colors, fonts, images, etc... You will be able to completely customize your website or blog to your liking.
A: You are in control of your account. You can cancel at any time right from your site's dashboard. If you have a domain name and you would like to transfer it to another service, you can do that as well.
A: You can increase traffic to your website by utilizing our built-in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Tools. SEO will help you improve your site's Search Engines Return Pages (SERP) ranking. The better your SERP ranking, the more visible your website will be in a search engine. By setting up your SEO on your website you will be able to increase your SERP ranking and, in turn, your website will get more traffic.
A: You can have as many websites as you want. The monthly fees are per domain so there would be a separate charge for each site.
A: Talkspot uses a combination of Amazon's AWS cloud and Rackspace's cloud. We are hosted on Windows Servers running Microsoft SQL. Websites make use of Microsoft's dot-net architecture, bootstrap, jquery, html 5 and css3.
A: One of our top priorities is to ensure that you won't outgrow your website or blog. We have blogs with over 500 blog entries, with individual blog entries containing book length blog articles and dozens of pictures. We have one website with nearly 500 webpages! Neither of these is pushing our limits. Can you imagine how horrible it would be if after all the work you put into your website or blog you suddenly hit a wall? That would be truly depressing!
